Ever heard of Vade? She’s this chick who got into a rough patch with her boyfriend back in I think 2014
or 2015. Anyways she was so mad at him she decided to intentionally make him take antidepressants(He
was clinically depressed) that would be have been counterproductive to the healthiness of his current
mental state and he eventually shot himself dead.
It’s an rather evil tale and I find myself very fascinated with it. You can learn more about it here. Anyways I mentioned it because there’s a webpage about her which
reflects a greater problem I have with society. In a subpage on the main article about Vade on the Lolcow
wiki called "Vade and Mental Health"where it
points out that Vade shows various symptoms of Borderline and Antisocial Personality Disorder.
Although I think it’s an interesting analysis into Vade’s psyche(Though I don’t want to definitely say
whether or not she has these problems because I believe a trained professional should do so instead) I
have an big problem with it.
The only reason the article came up with these diagnoses is to demonize her further. Not to have a
deeper understanding of Vade’s mind.
Don’t get me wrong, Vade is a very bad and dangerous person for doing what she did but it’s all seems
too suspicious that article chose 2 most demonized personality disorders to diagnose her with. It just
furthers the problem of the stigmatization of these specific personality disorders and other mental health
issues as well.
A lot of people try to justify this stigmatization but saying that people with mental health issues become
serial killers and generally do violent stuff. The main problem with this is that despite those specific
behaviors, they are just like everyone else.
Just because someone is a serial killer doesn’t mean that they don’t get out of bed in the morning and
have breakfast and take showers like everyone else. Yet some people are too dumb to understand that.
Serial killers honestly aren’t that different from everyone else. They were once adorable huggable
children like everyone else and they have feelings, hopes and dreams. They just went a different direction
in life.
God people are stupid.
